Professor Ruth Livesey is an Arts and Humanities Research Council Leadership Fellow on ‘Provincialism: English Literature and the Culural Politics of Middleness in Nineteenth-Century Britain’. Her lecture will use Van Gogh’s paintings to look again at George Eliot’s places.
